Yesterday was Saturday, but my company was operating.

My company is a manufacturer of building materials,

and they sometimes set Saturday as an operation day in the month with more holidays in order to ensure enough production days.

Indirect department employees are encouraged to get paid leave on such days,

but I had to go to work for a meeting.

昨日は土曜日だが会社は稼働日だった。
私の会社は建材メーカーで、生産日を確保するため、祝日の多い月は土曜出勤の日がある。
間接部門は有休消化を推奨されるが、会議のために出勤せざるを得なかった。
