the Danjiri festival
On Wednesday, I went to Kishiwada City in Osaka prefecture as a business trip.
Kishiwada City is famous for the Danjiri festival.
The Danjiri is held in autumn annually.
This week was exactly at the time.
The Danjiri is known for being very brave and rough, but, according to local people, Yoiyama, the eve of the festival, is very beautiful.
Festival cars are illuminated and drawn through the town at night.
I was surprised that the Danjiri had such a calm face.
I thought that things had multiface and that's interesting.
水曜日に、出張で大阪の岸和田市に行ってきました。
だんじり祭りは、年一回、秋に開催されます。
今週はちょうどその時でした。
だんじり祭りは勇猛で荒々しいことで知られていますが、地元の人によると、祭り前夜の宵山は大変きれいだそうです。
山車に電飾をつけ、町中を引き回します。
だんじり祭りにそんな静かな一面があることを知り、意外に思いました。
ものごとには多面性があり、そこが面白いのだと思いました。
