新型コロナウイルスの影響で長期的な売上の減少が予測されるため、5月と6月は製造工場の操業短縮を実施することになった。
間接部門の従業員は期間中に3～4日間休業する。
私は今日がその一日目の休みだった。

I work for a building material manufacturer.

As it is predicted that the long-term sales will decline due to COVID-19 pandemic, we are going to reduce working hours in our factories in May and June.

Employees in indirect departments including myself are required to take three or four days off during the period.

Today was my first day off for the reduction of operations.
