Last Monday, the Hiroshima Toyo Carp, one of the Japan's professional baseball teams in the Central League, won the championship for the second consecutive season.

I live in Hiroshima city, which is where the Carps originate from.

Local TV stations have been reporting that department stores and supermarkets are having bargain sales every day.

However, one supermarket, which I frequently go to, is as quite as usual.

I wondered why this was and remembered the head office of the supermarket was located in Yamaguchi Prefecture.

I guess that's why the store decided to pay no attention to the victory.

今週の月曜日に、広島東洋カープが昨年に続いてリーグ優勝を決めました。
私はカープの本拠地のある広島市に住んでいます。
ローカル放送局は、連日、デパートやスーパーの優勝セールの様子を伝えています。
しかし、私のよく行くあるスーパーは、とても静かでいつも通りでした。
私は不思議に思いましたが、このスーパーの本社が山口県にあることに気づきました。
優勝セールをしないのはそのせいだと思いました。
